The breakfast table is central and is chaired by an independent journalist who introduces the table guests to the public. This is followed by a round table discussion from the different backgrounds of the guest speakers. The aim is to go deeper into food waste, shelf life, laminates and reusable packaging, following the theme of Zero Waste. In addition, there are also current discussions that play a role within this theme, driven by society on the one hand and consumers on the other, but that are also influenced by national and international laws and regulations. The conversations last approximately ten minutes per table guest and can be alternated with a short report or video.
As table guests, a producer / importer of packaged products, a packaging producer, an NGO and a packaging or environmental expert take place at the breakfast table. The journalist asks critical but fun questions so that an interesting discussion flares up. KIDV is committed to inviting a number of leading names / companies.
